This wickiup, representing the temporary shelter used by the Chiricahua Apaches, was built for us by Cochise's great granddaughter, Elbys Hugar, and her family, on our opening day. They performed a blessing ritual with dancing and the sprinkling of pollen. Elbys has been a great supporter of our museum and has provided a puberty dress and other personal items for our display.
